Discover statements are downloaded from your Discover online account or the Discover mobile app, generally under a statements or documents section, as a PDF. Discover is best known for its credit card, though Discover Bank also offers online savings, CDs and a Cashback Debit checking account. Like most major card issuers, Discover typically lets cardmembers export recent transaction activity in a machine-readable format such as CSV directly from the account, separate from the formal monthly PDF statement.

How this tool reads a Discover PDF statement
A statement PDF has no real table inside it, just positioned text, so this tool groups fragments on the same line left to right, rejoins wrapped descriptions, filters out repeated headers and footers, and normalizes every negative-sign convention — parentheses, a leading or trailing minus — into one signed Amount column. The last number on a line is treated as the running balance and checked against each transaction, not summed into your totals.
